For schools, organisations and community groups wishing to support parents and carers in understanding themselves and their children better emotionally, SPACE is a short, five week programme offering practical activities and insights into the neuroscience behind trauma, attachment theories, toxic stress responses and why protective factors are important.

SPACE addresses topics such as:

  • Biological Stress responses
  • Impact of ACEs and trauma
  • Attachment theories and nurturing parents
  • Understanding behaviour and resilience
  • Protective behaviours
  • Child development milestones
  • Managing difficult emotions
  • Importance of self-care and nurturing children
  • Healthy relationships

SPACE particularly emphasises the maintenance of positive emotional, mental health and wellbeing for the whole family, as well as providing parents and carers with take-away strategies to implement at home. The programme recognises that each participant may be shaped, but not defined by their experiences, and that there is always capacity for change.

SPACE sessions are two hours long and include activity sheets and information books for each participant. If you are interested in supporting parents and carers within your organisations, please give me a call 07702 192734, email me on info@thewildwellbeingcoach.com or fill in the form below.
